Pearls defense too tight

IN ROUND Seven Mackay Fixtures, the U-12 Pearls’ tight defence proved too strong for WAS Quartz with the Pearls keeping them to just three goals for the game.


Many turnovers gave the Pearls plenty of opportunity to score coming away with a win, 12- 3. MVP was awarded to Brina Kelly and Sophia Haines.

Star player from Round Six was awarded to Lola Hornstra, as voted by the team.

Under 14 Tsunamis had the week off due to a forfeit. Round Eight saw the U-12 Pearls come out firing against Brothers Cherubs.

They moved the ball down the court well with strong passes and clean footwork.

The shooting circle moved well and racked up 27 goals to score a convincing win against the Cherubs, 27-4.

MVP was awarded to Anika Shields and Lucy Bennett. Star player from Round Seven was awarded to Brina Kelly, as voted by the team.

U-14s Tsunamis took on Magpies Claws in Round Eight for the second time this season.

Ready for a tough game after only losing by two points in their first match up the Magpies proved too good on the day with the Tsunamis going down 44-19.
