CitiBeach players always attend The Great Barrier Reef Challenge tournament series.

Tournaments will be held in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton.

Each competitor also plays for best male or female player of the series, plus each location will also compete for the best volley ball centre of the series.

Mackay has held best centre for five years until Rockhampton broke the trend in 2019.

"Last year, the pandemic caused the tournament series to be cancelled, but we are all keen to get back into it again this year," CitiBeach Volleyball Mackay Manager, Jacintha Brownsey said.

“No dates have been set for this year’s Great Barrier Reef Challenge however hopes are high for a comeback,” Brownsey said.
