Tourism Whitsundays partners with Reef Gateway Hotel
TOURISM Whitsundays have announced a two-year commitment as networking event partner with the Reef Gateway Hotel.
The Reef Gateway Hotel has further invested in support of the tourism industry through a partnership that provides complimentary beverages to attendees of the organisations popular monthly networking nights.
Tourism Whitsundays CEO Tash Wheeler says partnerships are paramount to the success of regional tourism.
"It is a huge statement when a local business recognises that their
success relies on the success of the tourism industry and demonstrates
this through supporting Tourism Whitsundays," Ms Wheeler said
"The partnership we have with the Reef Gateway Hotel means that we are able to provide fantastic networking opportunities for our members each month so that they have the opportunity to connect and build stronger local relationships.
"This is also a great opportunity for the Reef Gateway Hotel to promote
the corporate liquor sales part of the business that they offer locally.
"It is important as a small region that we continue to support local businesses. At the end of the day, we are all in the business of tourism here in the Whitsunday region.”
Networking events have become one of the tourism industries most
attended events, with anywhere between 100-200 attendees coming together each month.
Each month members have the opportunity to host a function
to showcase their venue, activity or space along with some light bites.
With the Reef Gateway's support, it means that every attendee receives two complimentary beverages.
Under the partnership, which is valued at over $25K, Reef Gateway Hotel's two-year commitment will see the tourism industry supported through networking events, tourism awards, and backing of community events, marketing, and media activities through Tourism Whitsundays.
A local favourite, Reef Gateway Hotel, has been operating for over
twenty years in the region and continues to support the community
through a variety of initiatives.
From the bistro, bars and function
venues to gaming, a bottle shop and business to business liquor sales,
Reef Gateway Hotel is dedicated to The Whitsundays community and are
here to stay.
"As an organisation, we embrace The Whitsunday tourism industry, and are honoured to support the activities of Tourism Whitsundays," Reef Gateway Hotel (managed by Australian Venue Co.) representative Dave Dodds said,
Reef Gateway Hotel recognises the importance of tourism for all businesses across The Whitsundays and appreciates our community's uniqueness.”
This week Tourism Whitsundays hosted their monthly networking event at Jubilee Tavern, now operating under the same management as Reef Gateway Hotel. Up to 100 members enjoyed the celebration and networking activities.
