Stolen car found burnt, Bakers Creek
On Monday, July 5, we released details about a Toyota Hilux dual cab being stolen from an address on Rosemoor Court, Glenella following a break in to a home.
At about 9.50am on July 5, police were called to a cane field near the intersection of Petersens Road and Lembergs Road, Bakers Creek for a vehicle fire.
The stolen Toyota Hilux had been abandoned at this location and completely burnt by fire.
The fire had been extinguished by local farmers and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
A small portion of the cane field was also burnt by the fire. No one was injured.
Anyone who may have information abound the abandoning and burning of the stolen vehicle or the original offence itself is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible
