Moranbah man charged with theft of fuel from mine site
A Moranbah man has been charged with the alleged theft of a large quantity of fuel from a local mine site.
The 55-year-old man drove his truck onto the site at 2am, January 31, and loaded four pods, approximately 4,000L, with a forklift.
He then returned the truck to the mine site's cark park and continued with his work duties.
Dysart police attended the site on Saraji Rd to execute a search warrant of the small truck at the car park of the victim business.
The man was charged with theft and scheduled to appear in the Moranbah Magistrates Court on March 11.
