Home break in, West Mackay

Entry was gained into a home on Shakespeare Street, West Mackay between 11.05am and 12.10pm on July 7 (daylight hours). Entry was gained into the home after the unknown intruder was able to climb onto a side garage roof which enabled them access to an elevated unsecured window.

Entry was gained into the home after the unknown intruder was able to climb onto a side garage roof which enabled them access to an elevated unsecured window.

The window was forced open and entry was gained into the kitchen area of the home.

Although the home was searched, nothing has been confirmed as stolen at this time.

Anyone who may have information linked to this daytime home break in is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.

This incident serves as a reminder that some offenders are quite willing and able to climb a building in an effort to access potential entry points.
