A $697,00 project will formalise a safe, dedicated travel path for pedestrians and cyclists.

The project came about after residents raised concerns about the safety of children traveling to and from school.

The three-staged project will commence this month with the first stage delivering an 860-metre pathway from the Seaforth Reservoir Rd to Aviland Dr.

Local Contractor, Haber Excavations will commence stage one this month, with works expected to be completed by may.

The work will be carried out Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 5pm.

Residents can continue to use the grass verge while the area is under traffic management and reduced speed limits.
