Attempted burglary, Mirani
Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a person who allegedly attempted to break into a Mirani home.
Around 5.15am on Saturday, May 22, an unknown person was allegedly attempting to break into a Dorothy Place home, when they were disturbed by the occupant.
The resident of the home was asleep and was woken by noises coming from the front door of the home.
After deciding to investigate the resident has walked to the front door of the home and disturbed someone in the process of attempting to gain entry.
The unknown person has turned and run from the area in a southerly direction on Dorothy Place, towards the nearby roundabout.
The alleged perpetrator is described as male, about 180 centimetres tall, proportionate build, wearing a black hoodie.
Anyone who has information that may assist investigators is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.
Police encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity of any type to report the matter as soon as possible.
