1974 HQ Holden ready to burn rubber

THIS week we have Joe Anderson a Mackay local with his 1974 HQ sedan which he purchased in 2018, it houses a mildly worked ls2 engine, fully manualised turbo 350 gearbox, 9 inch diff, Keizer drag wheels an the car is tubbed to fit the 11” wide rims on the rear.

Joe built the car from a bare shell  within 3yrs to enjoy on the street and hopefully be drag racing it soon at palmyra.

Joe has been into cars all his life and this HQ is about his 56th car that he has owned and it will be his last one, as they are too expensive to build and find now.

He is proud to have brought the car back to life from a rolling shell and own another piece of Aussie history and bring it to events to enjoy it just as he intended to.
